Application Support Engineer (XML)
Charlotte, NC

Red Ventures is currently seeking an Application Support Engineer to join our NOC team.

The RV NOC is the eyes and ears for all our IT systems and services including networks, systems and applications.  Any hiccup, blinking light, or loud noise is our NOC team’s responsibility to notice and respond to so our systems and services stay up at 100%.

The RV NOC is a 24x7 team whose responsibility is to monitor and resolve issues on the RV Network.  We are the first line of defense for RV’s critical applications, services, systems, and network.  We are the central communicators to our organization in the event of trouble.  We also resolve support tickets and perform after hours maintenance activity. 

Key Tasks:

  • Perform network and system change implementation and testing
  • Outages - troubleshoot, drive and/or implement appropriate resolution, drive escalations, perform root cause analysis
  • Provide Application Support - investigate, troubleshoot, escalate, update and resolve issues
  • Leverage various tools to analyze trends, investigate alerts, identify outages, remote site data gathering.

Schedule Requirements:

  • The NOC team supports Red Ventures 24x7x365. Team members will be required to work a 3x12 work schedule (12-12), and holidays.

What we’re looking for:

  • 3-5 years of Application Support/NOC experience.
  • Experience working with Trouble Ticket System(s) (experience with ServiceNow is a plus)
  • Ability to analyze technical issues, perform trend analysis, and escalate appropriately.
  • Performs system support (restart/reboot) and infrastructure (on prem/data centers/cloud) monitoring.
  • Performs website monitoring, restoral (application restarts, server reboots)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to focus and stay cool under stress. 
  • Proven ability to multi-task and follow guidelines and instructions. 
  • Writes and communicates well. Expected to contribute extensively to NOC runbooks.
  • Driven to grow technical skills and share with the NOC team. Expected to train peers and NOC Analyst II personnel.
  • A really good sense of humor.

Extra points if you are familiar with:

  • Understanding of transaction based applications (HTTP, XML, SIP)
  • SQL familiarity (constructing and running database queries.)
  • Understanding of Webservers (Apache, IIS, …) (restart, reboot).
  • Basic linux experience (Linux CLI, with CentOS, other distros, bash scripting, …)
  • Virtualization/Cloud experience (Virtual Machines, AWS, Containers, ....,).
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP Networking. CCNA a plus.
  • Understanding of and exposure to VoIP (SIP).
  • Troubleshooting APIs, Load Balancers, SSL certificates, DNS, and other enterprise technologies.

Collaboration Engineering Team Lead

Red Ventures is seeking a Collaboration Engineering Team Lead to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead our Collaboration Engineering team that is responsible for recommending, implementing, and maintaining our global collaboration applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Collaboration Engineers that will own, maintain, support, secure and improve the collection of tools and applications geared to improve employee productivity globally
  • Develops and owns the technical design and operational procedures documentation
  • Collaborates with different teams to develop a rigorous service portfolio
  • Provider tier 3 support for complex application issues
  • Maintain collaboration applications (including Office 365, GSuite, and Slack)

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience with multiple emails systems including Exchange 2016, Exchange Online or GSuite
  • 3+ years experience with Office365 and AzureAD
  • Experience with chat platforms including Skype for Business, Teams, or Slack
  • Experience managing Google Docs
  • Experience migrating email systems to Exchange Online (from Exchange Online, GSuite, etc)
  • Experience in PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Experience with DLP systems and policies
  • Experience with Sharepoint Online
  • Experience with Spam filter management (Microsoft Platform or Mimecast preferred)
  • Experience with 3rd party IDP solutions (OKTA, OneIdentity, Ping.)
  • Experience with migration tools (BitTitan, ShareGate, MoverIO)
  • Strong understanding of email security systems including DKIM, DMARC, SPF, etc.
  • Experience leading a team
  • Strong project management skills, strong attention to detail

Desktop Technician
St George, UT

Red Ventures is seeking a Desktop Technician to join our team. This role will be located in our St. George location. This mid-level position is ideal for a person who wants to take an active role in supporting both the end user and the operations teams, as needed.

Typical Responsibilities for the role:

  • Installation and support end user devices
  • Providing technical support to end users on basic hardware issues
  • End user workspace setup and teardown
  • Help manage and audit inventory
  • Work with multiple groups including Windows Server and AV teams
  • Assistance on Global RV projects as needed
  • This is a first shift position (approx. 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM)

Essential skills for the role:

  • Windows 10 and macOS installation (entry SCCM/PXE boot), configuration and troubleshooting
  • IOS 8x and Android configuration and troubleshooting
  • Entry level knowledge of Active Directory and Exchange
  • Working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to help as needed on other projects
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Be a self-starter with a team focused, positive attitude with an attention to detail

The following skills are highly desirable and would be encouraged to obtain after hire if you do not already have them:

  • CompTIA A+ and Network+
  • IBM/Dell/HP Hardware Certifications
  • Apple Certified Mac Technician Certification (ACMT)
  • Other certifications are acceptable depending on career path
